A Little About Us

GILLY
"I always had dogs & pets growing up but once I bought my own home my passion for Spaniels came to the forefront, cockers, working cockers & English Springer spaniels, and as I moved up the house ladder with my houses getting a little larger so did my pack. 5 or 6 dogs is now very normal to us
I’m a volunteer with a couple of spaniel rescues, SYESSR: South Yorkshire English Springer Spaniel Rescue & NESSR: Northern English Springer Spaniel Rescue. I try to support in any way I can from making dog toys to baking biscuits for events, anything that raises money. There’s a serious side too so ensuring the paperwork is completed correctly is vital, along with home checks carried out thoroughly for people looking to adopt.
With NESSR I spent a day at Crufts promoting breed rescue at the invitation of the KC, it was a really proud moment for me and my Springer Molly"
LEE
"We always had dogs growing up, no other pets so they were my main focus. I served in the Royal Navy for 20 years as a chef, travelling the world with my shipmates, then worked in the prison service for 10 years before moving into the private sector, still cooking up a storm
I first came across Large Munsterlanders when visiting a game fair with Gilly, in the discover dogs area. My first impression was what a stunning, magnificent breed of dog, and I was hooked. We went away and researched the breed, absorbed whatever information we could and then started our quest to become owners.
We were surprised at just how few litters there were, and how challenging it would be to find our puppy so be prepared to wait, but we eventually got Logie and have never looked back."
COCKER CREW
Dexter was born April 2016 & is a black & tan little cracker with the most amazing hair. He’s a rescue who was surrendered at just 12 weeks through no fault of his own. His favourite friend is the tennis ball and he’ll do anything for one, so would have made an excellent police or service dog
Maisie was born in Aug 2018, she’s KC registered under the name of Everlyna Diamond. She was a 50th birthday present for Lee, so this fox red wcs joined our family. She’s dinky weighing in at around 11kg, so is petite, sleek, quick & not to be messed with. Her passion is socks & remote controls
Riley was born in Oct 2018 & found himself in rescue at just 16 weeks, with perceived ‘issues’. We weren’t looking to expand our family, Maisie had only just arrived however we knew we could give him a very loving home. He’s never looked back & neither have we, he’s a delight to be around but boy is he a little scruff bag, he’s sometimes likened to the Gruffalo with his hairy chin bits & mad hair

Geraint
of
Camelot
Known as Logan, Logie, Loki
Born in August 2019 here in the UK and Registered with the Kennel Club he was our 1st Large Munsterlander
He’s a playful bundle of love, weighing in at around 31.5kg he’s a very fit and healthy lad, see test results page
He attended gundog training classes at Castlemans Gundogs near York under the watchful eye of Phillipa Williams a renowned trainer who has provided the gundog demo’s at Crufts, where he certainly made an impression, not sure it was the right impression but memorable all the same
The most outstanding thing about Logie is his temperament which is just superb, loving and loyal, sweet natured, soft and gentle
He's also a bit of a daft lad so is often called the Gaffoon – a cross between Goofy and Bafoon! He’s an amazing dog with absolutely stunning looks only surpassed by his personality

Known as Skye, Pud, Baby girl, or Fancy Pants
Skye was born in May 2021 in Germany so imported to the UK
She’s registered with the Kennel Club and has great health scores, see test results page
We chose to import into the country after struggling to find a suitable friend for Logie and waiting what seemed like forever on puppy lists
She’s a strong, bouncy, playful girl who usually is the instigator of fun at home
A very loving dog and at the same time she has a fairly high hunt drive, spending hours in the garden watching the wood pigeons or sneaking up on them
She’s certainly a lady who knows her own mind and shares her thoughts quite often through a ‘woo-woo’ wolf like conversation with us, yes she talks!
